Graduate Program in Health Policy and Management
MPH Program
Two-Year Master's Degree
This is the core HPM offering. Graduates seek careers in the administration, analysis, and evaluation of national, state, and local health policy and the management of public health programs, community healthcare services, healthcare institutions, bio-tech and pharmaceutical enterprises.
The curriculum includes a three-month field placement that occurs in the summer between the two academic years. Students have the option of a six-month placement which would include the fall semester of their second year. A comprehensive examination completes the degree.

One-Year Master's Degree
The one-year option is available to current
doctoral clinical level students
and individuals with clinical
degrees (MD, DDS, PharmD,
etc). The coursework is
normally completed over 11
months and includes
a practicum project.

Graduate Program in Health and Public Policy
MPP/MPH Degree
This is a three year concurrent degree program offered with the Goldman School of Public Policy. Graduates of this program assume research and policy analysis positions in federal and state governmental agencies, consulting organizations, health advocacy groups, and health care associations. Applications for this program are made directly to the School of Public Health but must be accepted by both programs.

Health Management, MBA/MPH
This two-and-one half year concurrent degree program is offered with the Haas School of Business. Graduates of this program are prepared for leadership roles in both business and delivery aspects of health services and technology industries. Students come to the program with an average of five years of health-related work experience. The GMAT is required instead of the GRE. Applications for this program are made directly to the School of Business.
